Toyo Selects Fan Focus Model Search Winner

TOPEKA, Kan. (Jan. 7, 2009) – From a field of more than 30 young women, Toyo Tires has selected Tracy Morrow, of Las Vegas, Nev., as the 2008 SPEED World Challenge Fan Focus model search contest winner.

A joint promotion between Toyo Tires and Modified Magazine since 2005, the Fan Focus Model Search asks aspiring models to sign up online for a chance to become an official SPEED World Challenge model. From the hundreds of applicants received each year, only three ladies are selected per event to work alongside SPEED World Challenge teams and fans. At the end of the season the list is narrowed down to 10, from which Toyo Tires selects one lucky winner to receive a free Web site from ModelsDesired.com (a $599 value) and an interview with Toyo for a coveted promotional modeling contract.

Twenty-three year-old Morrow was selected as the top of the 2008 class. In addition to being stunningly photogenic, Morrow’s friendly and outgoing nature allowed her to mingle easily with fans and team members at Sebring.

“Picking one winner from the Fan Focus model search gets harder every year,” Toyo Tires Manager of Events and Motorsports Stan Chen said. “The bar continues to be raised, but Tracy’s portfolio and recommendations stood out. I expect to see another talented group of ladies at the track in 2009.”

With the race they attended in parentheses, the models joining Morrow in the top 10 are: Brittany Modica (Long Beach), Christine Dart (Lime Rock Park), Elizabeth Grutza (Detroit), Emily Sutta (Road America), Erica Lindeman (Road America), Kaitlyn Trush (Detroit), Kathleen Tesori (Miller Motorsports Park), Katie Chatterly (Mosport) and Katie Skolas (Detroit). Each of the top 10 finalists will receive a free web modeling portfolio from ModelsDesired.com, a $250 value. All remaining models will be provided with a $150 gift certificate for a ModelsDesired.com Web Modeling Portfolio. The portfolio for last year’s Fan Focus Model Search winner, Yvette Meza, can be found here.

The 2009 Fan Focus Model Search will be launched shortly at www.world-challenge.com/modelsearch.
